CORTEX / Veridyn

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Veridyn Cortex ("Cortex", also known by its assistant persona "Theo") is a private notification and personal-assistant service built, operated, and used by a single individual โ€” its owner. It sends SMS messages and emails to that owner only. There are no other users, subscribers, or recipients.

Information we process

Cortex processes only its owner's own information: his tasks, notes, reminders, and system status, plus the single mobile phone number and email address he configured for himself. No information is collected from any other person.

Mobile information and sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only phone number the service holds is the owner's own, and it is never sold, rented, or disclosed. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies with the owner's own activity โ€” typically several messages per day. Message and data rates may apply, as determined by the recipient's mobile carrier.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP or email david@veridynlabs.com for assistance. Because the sole recipient is also the operator, messaging can likewise be disabled directly in the system at any time.

Data retention and security

Data lives on the owner's own private server, encrypted in transit, with nightly encrypted backups under the owner's control. Nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers โ€” there is no third party to share with.
